July 2012

Business is pick-up up even with the very hot temperatures we are having almost everyday in the high 90's.  One good thing and we all thank God we have had plenty of rain almost every evening.  We have a Face book site now for our Wilson store and we have been receiving many comments.

New Compter System

Saturday 27th
We installed a new computer system called Point of Rental and this is the first week that we are using the system.  We had to take all of our rental equipment and resale items and install them in the new computer and it has been quite a job for the staff of Best Rentals and like our other computer systems   Rocky Mount and Wilson are linked together and one new feature that we have is a drivers license scanner which should save some time when we have a new customer so that they can process the transaction very quickly. Like all new systems it will take some time to fully implement the new computer programs. We  have always prided ourselves in being able to get a customer out the door very quickly as we know that time is very important for customer.

News as of February 1,2010

Rental business still on the slow side as we had 4" of snow and some rather cool temps. Walt Terry has retired as of the first of the year and we all hope he will enjoy his retirement!!
Some of the larger rental equipment is being rented to remove snow from parking lots such as backhoes and bobcats.

Friday December 28,2007 Rocky Mount,NC

Rental business slow, however, sales of used equipment is steady. Collections are a problem with money hard to collect.
Some common items being rented now are : electric sewer snakes, lifts to change light bulbs and tree work, floor buffers and tables and chairs for parties.
We are considering an outside sales person to work the Rocky Mount and Wilson area and we do feel it will help business in 2008.
